Whole-child therapy rooted in safety, sensory support, and nervous system regulation.

Our Services

Speech therapy

Our speech therapy sessions support children in developing strong communication skills across a variety of areas, including articulation, receptive and expressive language, early literacy and reading readiness, social interaction, and feeding challenges. Whether a child is just beginning to speak, struggling to form words, or facing difficulties with comprehension, our therapists meet them where they are with compassion and expertise.

We work to build confidence in all forms of communication, including spoken language, AAC (augmentative and alternative communication), and nonverbal expression so children can connect more meaningfully with the world around them. Every session is tailored to the child’s developmental level and sensory needs, with a focus on co-regulation, trust, and functional communication.

Physical Therapy

Pediatric physical therapy supports strength, coordination, balance, sensory integration, and gross motor development. At Vera Path, we also focus on reflex integration and movement-based strategies to support children with sensory sensitivities, including those with sensory processing disorder. Our physical therapists create individualized, regulation-friendly plans to help each child move with more confidence, comfort, and control.

Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy supports children in developing the foundational skills they need to participate in everyday life with greater ease and confidence. At Vera Path Therapy, our occupational therapists address challenges related to emotional regulation, sensory processing, visual perception, fine motor coordination, executive functioning, and self-care.

Using a trauma-informed and nervous-system-first approach, we help children build the regulation and motor skills necessary for tasks like handwriting, dressing, feeding, and play. Whether your child is struggling with focus, transitions, coordination, or sensory sensitivities, we work collaboratively with families to create individualized plans that support both function and well-being.

Safe & Sound Protocol

The Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) is a research-based listening program developed by Dr. Stephen Porges and grounded in Polyvagal Theory. It is designed to help regulate the nervous system by stimulating the vagus nerve through specially filtered music. This gentle, non-invasive intervention can support improvements in emotional regulation, sensory processing, and social engagement by helping the brain and body feel safer and more connected.

At Vera Path Therapy, we offer SSP in a calm, supportive setting with therapist guidance and caregiver education throughout the process. For many children, SSP lays the foundation for deeper progress in occupational, speech, and physical therapy by helping reduce fight-or-flight responses, improve attention, and increase a sense of safety in the body.

SSP is offered as part of an individualized treatment plan and can be adapted to each child’s readiness and regulation needs.
